Andrew Button is a Chair with 41 years of business and consulting experience, with the last 26 years being in New Zealand, including almost 20 years as a partner of Deloitte based in Christchurch. He has a history of growing long term business relationships, walking with management through the various stages of business growth, and mentoring leaders to develop themselves to their fullest potential.
Andrew always follows the mentoring philosophy he learnt from his father. This philosophy is to freely pass on all the skills and knowledge he has to the next generation of leaders in order to give them the strongest starting point to slingshot their careers even further. An example of this was the fact that he could retire from Deloitte with a new partner and two new directors he had mentored for 8 plus years ready to step up and take the team to the next level.
He has extensive knowledge and experience gained from working with senior executive teams in businesses ranging from listed companies though to owner operated businesses in a wide range of industries. This allows him to cut through any noise to ask key questions on strategic issues in supporting his TEC members to overcome hurdles faster and keep them on track longer.
Andrew was also a member of Deloitte New Zealand senior management team in the role of national reputation and risk leader. This role added risk evaluation, risk assurance, and regulatory compliance to his to his wider business growth skill set.
