How TEC works
TEC offers four membership programs designed for the different needs of chief executives and senior executives.
Prospective members usually attend a Briefing Session or a Leadership Forum held in major cities around Australia and New Zealand for business leaders interested in learning more about TEC membership. These events provide excellent opportunities to meet TEC members and Chairs and also offer the chance to experience key elements of a TEC meeting first hand. All events are without cost or obligation.
Session attendees are followed up and if interested to take the next step, a one to one meeting with a Chair will be organised. This meeting allows the Chair to carry out an interview to assess whether the prospect is results-driven with a strong desire to enhance their leadership capabilities and influence others and is the right fit for TEC. The session also exposes the prospect to a one to one session, so they get a more complete view of what to expect.
The Chair will nominate the new prospect to join their group and put the new membership to the vote amongst group members. It is important that each group member feels positive about a new member of their group and to ensure there are no conflicts of interest.
In the event of conflict, the new member is introduced to a different Chair and Group.
The prospective member may also be invited to meet some of the group members, or even join a group meeting before making the final decision to join.
If all goes smoothly, the new member will sign an agreement and join the next group meeting.
